Could the Palm Pre be for me?
I have to be honest with all of you and admit that I have not been looking in the direction of the Palm Pre lately with my current interest in Android at the moment. So to to say it has my utmost and complete attention now would be correct (better late then never). Back in the day when Palm pretty much had the whole market cornered on PDAs who didn’t love them? I’ll be doing more research in the coming week or so to see if it’s really something I’ll be happy with.
Summer Geek Activities
Hello all, long time no post. Fox and RedKroovy have been busy with all kinds of craziness. We are in the process of buying a house all while managing our lopsided work schedules. We have big plans for the new house!
In the meantime, if you haven’t noticed yet, it is summer time. The heat is upon us. The sun is not giving up. Casadegeeks has been focusing on finding sun-free indoor activities. Fox and I are going to sign up for World of Warcraft subscriptions and plan to play with ShadowSlayer. Join us if you’re a WoW player!
Fox also downloaded and got hooked on Plants VS Zombies, an addictive tower-defense game in which you build up your garden full of zombie fighting plants to defend your home.
ShadowSlayer will continue to play his screensaver game Eve Online so feel free to join him as well!
If you’re really into music, give Audiosurf a try. It is similar to Rock Band and Guitar Hero in that the elements of the song scroll past you throughout the song. There are many modes to play in and the best part is you can play along to any song in your personal mp3 library. Compare your scores to others online.
Fox, ShadowSlayer, Karma, and I will also be playing Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War – Gold Edition, as well as old favorites Warcraft II and III… possibly some F.E.A.R and Unreal Tournament.
As always you can expect that the geeks will go out to H&H for shooting (when we can find an abundant source of ammo). After we close on the new house, you can be sure we’ll be home bodies for a while – we have lots to enjoy in the new house. Stay tuned for the casadegeeks house warming party/LAN announcement.
