Never wait in line for a game ever again!
This is just a quick post to show everyone a website that I have personally been using for some time now. It is a part of IGN/Fileplanet. The service is called Direct 2 Drive and it allows you to pay for PC games online and download them instantly using their download manger (the same download manger fileplanet uses). As for discs, you have the right to burn your game to your choice of media. Cover art is not included as far as I can tell, but who cares? When you really think about it, if you want a game and don’t want to spend 10 bucks in gas to get it, and you want it at a better price than even the local EB Games can give you, then its a GREAT option. Check it out at www.direct2drive.com.

Unsecured Cameras
Ahhh cameras, great devices that allow you to take pictures, make movies, keep an eye on things, or just plain be nosy. Way back in ’05 there was a big deal about using Google to find unsecured network web cams. Some could pan and tilt some were watching malls, and some were even a bit naughty. Fast forward 4 years and you would expect people would have fixed this sort of thing… well, you would think anyway. Using a string from a site from 2005 I managed to find a variety of cams – some on roofs that would pan and tilt, some in buildings with people walking by. Quite interesting. Most were universities, but one or two looked like businesses of sorts. If your game for some network webcam fun the string is “inurl:”ViewerFrame?Mode=” just copy and paste that into google and search away. most of the good links are the ones with just IP’s. Or if your lazy heres some examples:

More Music
Some days ago I posted a short & sweet about Palms Out Sounds - they’ve always got music reviews and mp3s posted. In my search for more I found there are a plethora of similar sites / blogs which all post videos, music, reviews (mostly electronic / techno / drum & bass / house / etc / remixes). Many of the people who run the sites also host and/or sponsor events where local groups & DJs can all get together. And guess what – the mix from that event will likely be posted up on the site for download the very next day. Great, great stuff to be discovered if you’re willing to browse through it all! Check them out and definitely bookmark them.

What do hackers do?
While I’m not a hacker, cracker, etc, I do love watching these guys (or gals) do their thing. They are some of the most intelligent people on the planet, so if they have to something to show or say we should all put our porn down and pay attention. After the jump you will find a video from Picnic via Fora.tv. I’ll be honest and say that I have never heard of PICNIC before and I love it. It reminds me of TED in which I am a big fan of so you can bet I’ll be adding it to my Internet watching schedule.
Enjoy!
