Unlike most things you see in Sci-Fi movies one intriguing and very useful piece of tech might be closer than I previously thought. No I’m not talking about flying cars or killer robots. I’m talking about a personal heads up display.  Something you wear as a pair of glasses or contacts that can display things like a GPS map or text messages. The University of Washington has made several contact lens style HUD’s that they’ve been testing and will hopefully develop into something that can be commercially made. So i’ve been meaning to get a second laptop for work/internet surfing for a while now but didn’t know what I want. Google does something that probably shoulda been done years ago. A new feature with their email service thats been in beta for 5 years has added the ability to delete emails. Thats right! No more getting home all drunk at 2am and then in your alcohol fueled bravery decide to tell your higher up exactly what you though of there worthless meeting about the colors on the company logo. Or to tell your girlfriend that she’s a cheating hoe for talking to your best friend about something you couldn’t quite overhear (probably your birthday)  as you were too busy checking out a redhead. The down side is you’ve only got 5 seconds to think it over before it emails it. Yep no fancy database editting or POP server magic, just a simple delay. But givin that most emails that shouldn’t be are accompained with the huge feeling of uh oh pretty quickly afterward, then it should be enough. So the next time you decide to tell the board of directers they’re abunch of %$#&, or *&^% or the daring Turkish phrase @!*%$ – &^%$#.  You’ll have 5 secounds to atone
